With our first odour scrubber package in Abu Dhabi commissioned in the mid-1990s, ERG’s presence and reputation in the Region has grown significantly since the mid-2000s. We now boast more than 200 odour control systems in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Iraq and Jordan.
Working with main contractors or in some cases the end user of the equipment, ERG’s scope includes the full design, supply and delivery of the OCU (Odour Control Unit) package. We provide a full design package of drawings and documentation during the first weeks of the contract, and follow up the complete Installation, Operating and Maintenance instructions. We can also offer installation supervision and commissioning assistance as required.
ERG’s Range of Odour Control Systems
ERG’s standard technologies for odour control include:
- Biological scrubbers – bio-trickling filters and bio-scrubbers using synthetic media for exceptional H2S, mercaptans and VOC removal efficiencies at minimal pressure drop – a low cost odour control unit with the low running costs
- Carbon filters – water regenerable carbon to polish the odour emission to the guaranteed discharge limit. Water regenerable carbon from reputable European carbon media suppliers provides all the advantages of carbon treatment at a fraction of the running cost as the media is regenerated in situ in the vessel.
- Packed tower chemical scrubbers – ammonia scrubbers (sulphuric acid dosed scrubbing solution) and hydrogen sulphide [H2S] scrubbers (caustic dosed scrubbing solution with hypochlorite or peroxide addition) offer robust, reliable operation for high inlet concentrations or when the concentration is variable.
And all our OCU technologies are combined with ancillary equipment to provide you with a complete odour control package – ductwork, fans, access structure, discharge stack, pumps and pipework, chemical storage and dosing package, instrumentation and control panel.
